Empowering Our People to Race Towards the Finish Line

VMS Racing

VMS racing was introduced to assist with team morale, peer and management building.

One of the founding values of VMS is teamwork, which we continuously seek to grow and improve. VMS racing creates an opportunity to maintain and build upon working relationships, which is imperative in a successful business.

Teams consisting of employees and suppliers competed in a Go-Kart Grand Prix at Whilton Locks in Northamptonshire in December 2021. The top 6 competitors in the final round were then provided with the opportunity to take their ARDS amateur racing licence.

The wheels are in motion and the VMS racing journey continues…

Once completed, we then moved on to compete in the 116 Trophy Series, part of the 750 Motor Club. We participated in seven competitions throughout our first season at a variety of different racetracks. We expanded from one cars to two for admission.

The season highlight of 2022 was the 12 Hour Race of Remembrance where VMS staff and suppliers ran and drove 2 cars whist supporting such a worthy cause. It truly was an all-round great event with fantastic memories made.

The squad stepped up to the plate, finishing in second and fifth place in their respective classes while placing 19th and 22nd overall.

We’ll be back in the 116 Trophy Series in 2023, this time with new drivers and support personnel.
